Variable Speed Control

Electro-Total provides variable speed applications using inverters. By a simple and accurate operation, they provide increased productivity, energy saving and extend the equipment lifetime (e.g. pumps, fans, etc.)..

Using inverters, one or more asynchronous motors can be controlled. For specific applications, inverters with vector control are used, which can control the engine at low speed (2-5% of rated speed). For specific applications (e.g. pumps and fans), specialized inverters are used which allow to reduce energy consumption at low speeds. All these inverters are manufactured by LS Industrial Systems Company – Korea.

For high speed driving (e.g. axis of machine tools, robots, etc.) there are brushless servomotors and inverters. They have a starting time of 3-6 times lower than ordinary asynchronous motors. These servomotors can successfully replace the hydraulic servodrivings, having the advantage that in fact they do not wear.

For DC motors, Electro-Total offers drives with inverters (controlled rectifiers) manufactured by SPRINT ELECTRIC – England. If necessary, they can fulfil additional tasks such as calculating torque for winding – unwinding, excitation control, etc.

Electro-Total also provides driving applications with softstarters. Using the softstarters the mechanical and electrical shocks are excluded (start-up and stop), leading to reduced mechanisms’ wear, increasing the engine lifetime and energy savings. The softstarters used in Electro-Total applications are produced by SOLCON (Israel).
